BMW's 335i Coupé with its prominent N54 3.0 Bi-Turbo six-cylinder engine was to us an intriguing basis for another turbo-upgrade project.
The factory 306 horses already power the car amply, yet a few of our modifications shall make the 335i outperform the “big brother”, the BMW M3. And all this at less costs and less fuel consumption.
We wanted to keep the car's clean looks and therefore retained the BMW M-Package and powder-coated the 19” M-rims. Purposeful details such as the M3 rear spoiler lip, the adjustable coilovers and the Quaife limited slip differential where fitted to keep up with the M3's dynamic.
Along with the turbochargers, the core of our project, we slightly modified the intake system and fitted two 3 inch downpipes.
In order to cope with the increased power and torque we reverted to a Sachs Performance clutch with reinforced clutch cover.
We acted on the maxim of retaining the full suitability for daily use and the remarkable turbo response.
The LO470P turbochargers are the core of our project.
The factory BMW turbochargers were optimized to an extent which guarantees the very best compromise between power output, longevity and turbo response.
The following LOBA specific optimizations were applied
